DRIVERS had to be cut free from their cars after a head-on crash on the A40.
Two cars collided at around 5.30pm yesterday on the road near Burford.
The crash, between the Windmill roundabout and the Brize Norton turn, left one car on its roof and both drivers trapped in their vehicles.
Fire crews from Burford, Witney and Chipping Norton together with a specialist rescue vehicle from Kidlington attended the incident and had to use specialist equipment to free those involved.
Casualties were passed into the care of South Central Ambulance Service for treatment and taken to hospital.

Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service has advised motorists to take extra care on the roads now it is darker in the evenings following the end of British Summer Time.
