Why don't the police take away the bikes of these miscreants and put them in a crusher?
Then let those people walk - no fines, no comeback.
A nice bundle of crushed bikes at both ends of Cornmarket would make the riders appreciate pedestrians.
It could be even provide more street furniture (not that we want any more).
Wouldn't this teach those riders that the law needs to be respected?
