A man who admitted a series of child sex offences has been warned he faces jail.

John Howell, 43, pleaded guilty to four charges of voyeurism involving a 13-year-old child on dates between October and December last year. Howell, of Luther Street, Oxford, admitted two further charges of sexual activity with a child and three of taking indecent photographs of a child.

He also pleaded guilty to perverting the course of justice between 1 December 2006 and 10 January 2007 by making a false complaint of blackmail. Howell was placed on the sex offenders register.

Lincoln Crown Court heard the offences took place in South Lincolnshire. Judge John Machin adjourned the hearing until October 19 for reports but warned Howell: "The likelihood is that you will receive a prison sentence."
