SENTENCING of a motorist caught by police speeding at 172mph in Oxfordshire has been adjourned.
Timothy Brady was driving a Porsche 911 along the A420 near Kingston Bagpuize when he was caught in a routine speed check in January.
It is the highest speed ever recorded on a public road in the UK.
Brady, 33, of Harrow, north-west London , denied a charge of aggravated vehicle taking, which was accepted by the prosecution in the case.
Brady had been due to appear today at Oxford Crown Court. Sentencing will now take place on Monday.
