A BANNED motorcyclist has been jailed for four months after being pulled over by police for going through a red light.

Cheyenne Webb, of Majoram Close in Oxford, was stopped by officers about 2.30pm on Wednesday on his motorbike in Vineyard, Abingdon.

The force said he was found to be disqualified from driving and when searched also found to be in posession of an 'offensive weapon' - a baton.

Webb appeared at Oxford Magistrate's Court today charged with possession of an offensive weapon in a public place and driving while disqualified.

He pleaded guilty to both offences and was sentenced to four months in prison.

PC Scott Roddy of the problem solving team at Abingdon police station, said: “Webb has been convicted and sentenced within 24 hours.

“This swift justice is proof that Thames Valley Police does not tolerate anyone driving when disqualified and we have also removed and destroyed a weapon, for which Webb has faced the consequences.”
