A man approached a group of children on a bus from Oxford to Carterton and made lewd remarks.
Police are appealing for witnesses following the incident on the 100 bus, which left Gloucester Green bus station at 9.15pm last Friday.
A man approached a group of three children who were sitting on the upper level of the bus, made inappropriate comments and tried to hug a 14-year-old girl.
Anyone with any information about the incident is asked to contact Pc Graham Lea at Chipping Norton police station on 08458 505505.
A 63-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of sexual assault and released on bail.
