RESIDENTS have hailed the ‘excellent repair’ of a long-standing ‘crater’ that has plagued their street for months.

Oxfordshire County councillor Les Sibley has been calling for the pothole to be fixed over safety fears around the uneasy road surface and pathway.

The councillor said the crumbling surface had been an ongoing issue in Stoneburge Crescent in Bicester.

But last week authorities repaired the road surface and residents have hailed the improvements.

Mr Sibley added: “It is great to see the excellent repair of the damaged road and footpath which had been left in a terrible condition.”
