A THRILLSEEKER took to the skies to raise vital funds for the Royal Air Forces Association.
Clair Ryer, who is from Carterton and a logistics sergeant at RAF Brize Norton, was strapped to the wing of a 1940s Boeing Stearman biplane and flown above the English countryside to raise more than £900 for the charity.
She was exposed to a series of flypasts, zoom climbs, dives and banking turns while balancing on the aircraft, which was piloted by former RAF pilot and veteran of the British aerobatic scene, Brian Cornes.
The wing walk was organised in support of the RAF Association’s Wings Appeal, which supports serving and veteran RAF personnel and their families.
