A SPECIAL Boxing Day service will run from Oxford Parkway to London this year.
The Chiltern Railway service, which will depart from Parkway and stop at Bicester Village, will run for most of the day - with the first train leaving at 9am and the last returning at 7.40pm.
Trains from London Marylebone to Parkway will run from 8am, with returns running until 8.35pm.
The service will not stop at Oxford's main station.
Traditionally, train services do not run or are very limited on Boxing Day.
Eleni Jordan, Commercial Director at Chiltern Railways, said: “Although it’s unusual for the railway to be open on Boxing Day, we’ve found this service to be very popular with our customers.
"We’re delighted to once again offer this and give our customers another reason to leave the car behind and visit some of the amazing attractions on our route.”
Trains call at Oxford Parkway, Bicester Village, Haddenham and Thame Parkway, Princes Risborough, High Wycombe, Beaconsfield, Gerrards Cross and London Marylebone.
