OXFORD'S newest children's centre is hiring a host of new staff.

Flo's at Florence Park is looking for a senior nursery practitioner, two qualified early years practitioners, a nursery assistant, other assistants and caretaking/ cleaning staff, all for its nature nursery.

The group of East Oxford parents who reopened the community centre in September describe the nature nursery as a small, 24-place early-years nursery setting for children aged two-to-four.

In an advert for the vacancies the group said: "Our nursery aims to be a home from home, where children spend their day exploring and playing in our lovely garden and surrounding park.

"Our children will have a chance to learn life skills, such as planting vegetables, cooking, baking, woodwork.

"We will have forest school sessions, building shelters, climbing trees and learning about local wildlife.

"These posts would suit people who love working with children outdoors, and who are not scared to don on some wellies and have fun in any weather."

The nursery will be open Monday to Friday 8.15am to 5.30pm for 48 weeks each year.
