WE HAVE been asking for images of books this week and few are grander than this photograph of Oxford University's Codrington Library at All Souls College.
Oxford Mail Camera Club member Darrell Godliman took the snap of the 18th century collection during one of Oxford Preservation Trusts's Open Doors events, which allow the public into historic buildings that are usually closed.
It is a rare chance to see the 185,000-volume library, reserved for students and researchers, in all its glory.
Join our Camera Club – which now has more than 800 members–by visiting facebook.com and searching for Oxford Mail Camera Club.
Look out for more of our favourite book photographs in Friday’s paper, with the winner announced in Saturday's edition.
