A SECOND Oxfordshire postal worker has been sacked following a disciplinary hearing.
John Doran, who has been with Royal Mail for 24 years, was dismissed yesterday for gross misconduct following an incident at the Watlington post office.
Oxfordshire Communication Workers Union representative Noel Fay said: "This has been a witchhunt. John is completely innocent and these are trumped up charges."
He said Mr Doran's treatment had made workers even more determined to pursue industrial action through an official ballot following the sacking of fellow worker Steven Gill last Friday.
