RESIDENTS have been given police leaflets after more burglaries in North Oxford.

Police community support officers visited homes in the area yesterday to deliver crime prevention information to householders, in a bid to tackle burglaries.

On Monday police also reported via Twitter that there had been a 'spate of theft from vans in North Oxford', urging people to take care when leaving vehicles unattended.

During the summer police reported a spike in burglaries across the city, due to people leaving windows open, but it appears the cooler weather has not solved the problem.
