A 230-YEAR-OLD tradition raised £1,500 for two local organisations.
Proceeds from this year's edition of the Old Woodstock Mock Mayor, which sees a day of festivities revolving around the crowning of a new 'leader', were split evenly between Woodstock Youth Club and Oxfordshire Mind.
The mock mayor crowning took place in July and its committee held a closing party and cheque presentation at The Black Prince Pub in the town.
The event began as a tongue-in-cheek, anti-establishment protest and now features a range of refreshments and silly events.
