THE Liberal Democrats have selected Jane Hanna OBE to contest the Grove and Wantage county council by-election.
The Wantage local founded a small health charity called SUDEP and was the first female Fellow of Oxford University's Keble College, where she taught for 20 years. She has also been a long-serving local councillor.
Zoe Patrick's resignation triggered the by-election, but the date has not yet been set.
District and Town councillor Ben Mabbett has been selected for the Conservatives.
