A WITNEY trust is celebrating a victory three years in the making after work began to lower a footpath last week.
Wheelchair users at Guideposts Trust's day community service (GLADS) were thrilled to see work start on the footpath opposite Sainsbury's on Station Lane, across the road from the GLADS Two Rivers Estate base.
Three years ago, Guideposts created a petition calling on Witney Town Council to place a zebra crossing on the road, which several of its service users cross each day.
