BRITAIN'S only female 'Figurehead Carver' conducted a creative craft session with care home residents.
Chipping Norton-based Abbie Cooke, who delivers dynamic and interactive art sessions for older generations, visited Newland House in Witney.
The sessions are designed to inspire and help older generations learn new creative skills, to enhance their wellbeing and stimulate the senses.
Ms Cooke was joined by ten residents and manipulated, moulded and formed air drying clay into starfish shapes.
The group then used blunt wooden modelling tools and added texture and patterns to the damp clay.
The orange paint was used as an uplifting bright colour with glitter decorations added for extra sparkle, ready for the finished items to be displayed for all to see.
Abbie returned to create autumnal themed paintings with props of dried plants and shrubbery to set the scene of nature and outdoor surroundings.
