PLANNING committee meetings in Southern Oxfordshire will discuss the proposed development of more than 500 houses this evening.
The Vale of White Horse District Council's committee will discuss plans for a scheme in Faringdon which would put some 380 new houses on land south of Park Road in the town, which is to the north-west of Wantage.
Phase one of the proposals - to be scrutinised at the 6.30pm meeting - would see 103 houses built, before a further 277 are added in phase two.
Meanwhile, South Oxfordshire District Council will also meet this evening, at 6pm, with a plan to build 150 houses in Crowmarsh Gifford, near Wallingford, on the agenda.
That development would be on land to the east of Benson Lane.
