TEENAGE boys were assaulted as they sat listening to music on the top deck of a bus.

Two men approached the two 13-year-old boys on a bus travelling from Witney to Eynsham and argued with them before 'placing their hands around the boys' necks', police said.

Police did not use the term 'strangle' and said the victims were not injured.

The assault happened on the S1 Stagecoach service at about 7.45pm on Saturday, September 15.

Thames Valley Police released a CCTV appeal this morning and said the two men pictured could be key to their investigation.

Investigating officer PC Henry Gillingham, from the Investigation Hub at Witney police station, said: "I am keen to speak to the men in these CCTV images, as they may have information which could be vital to our investigation.

"There were a number of other passengers travelling on the bus who may also be able to provide information about this incident."
