A CRACKDOWN on rural crime saw officers monitor areas around Kidlington to catch hare coursers.
Police patrolling the village said they had three calls this afternoon relating to hare coursing - the pursuit of hares with greyhounds and other hunting dogs.
In a tweet shared by TVP Kidlington today, officers said: "We have stopped one vehicle but the second made off.
"Good calls by game keepers and great response by local officers."
It said the patrols, which also took place yesterday, were part of Operation Jeep and Operation Javelin, targeting rural crime.
Officers did not state if any arrests had been made.
