RUNNERS of all ages stepped up, to raise more than £1,400 for mental health charity Mind Pembrokeshire on Sunday (September 16).

The Port of Milford Haven's inaugural 5k fun run saw 136 people lace up their trainers, all for an important cause.

Ashley Bladen was first across the line, completing the Waterfront course in just 22 minutes.

Port HR Director Vidette Swales and daughter Lexie were among those taking part, along with harbourmaster Mike Ryan, his wife, and their dog Belle, Wayne Evans, Louise Howard and her family, Ria Jones and Holly Harvatt-Crowley.

Karen Lewis, tourism manager at the Port, said: “Thank you to everyone who made the effort to join us and didn’t let the drizzle put a dampener on what was a really enjoyable event.

"As well as raising awareness of everything that’s on offer at Milford Waterfront we were pleased to be able to raise over one thousand pound for our Charity of the Year, Mind Pembrokeshire.

"We hope to make this an annual family event which continues to attract a good number of participants.”
