FILM crews returned to a West Oxfordshire village yesterday for the movie version of Downton Abbey.
Production teams moved into Bampton, near Witney, which is the setting for many of the show’s outdoor scenes.
A sign reading 'Downton Cottage Hospital' was pictured on the wall of the village's Old Grammar School.
Other notable locations include St Mary the Virgin Church and the village library.
The film is likely to be released next year, with the action picking up from the show’s finale.
