FURRY, feathered, flamboyant and fun - these are some of the animals who posed for pictures during our camera club's trip to a wildlife park.

Some 14 eagle-eyed photographers descended on the Cotswold Wildlife Park near Burford on Saturday to snap the array of animals on show.

With so many photogenic subjects strutting their stuff, camera club member Bryan Robertson said the challenge was in choosing what to focus on.

He said: "I took more than 500 photos and a few of the others got close to 1,000.

"Animals do not always play ball so it's sometimes a waiting game and you have to stand there with your camera ready.

"You have to catch them when they stop moving but sometimes you only get a split-second."

The amateur club, which each week submits photos on a theme to be featured in the Oxford Mail, is already planning its next meet up - an autumnal jaunt along the canal.
