A BUSY stretch of the A40 has reopened after two cars collided earlier this morning, causing the closure of one lane.
The incident took place on the eastbound carriageway of the A40 London Road, at the traffic lights for Thornhill Park and Ride and Merewood Avenue.
Traffic on the westbound carriageway was very slow between Wheatley and Green Road roundabout in Headington.
Police confirmed the incident was 'damage only' and attended the scene to assist with the recovery of both vehicles.
