A SOUTH Oxfordshire pair have broken their £5,000 fundraising target after returning home from a marathon rally across Europe.
Dave Matthews and Jason Green, from Wantage, kitted out their BMW with stickers from sponsors before driving across nine countries in four days.
Mr Matthews said: "It’s been emotional, thrilling, tiring and so much fun. We’ve covered over 2,200 miles, seen some of the most awe inspiring scenery, tackled some of best driving roads in Europe and met some amazing people along the way."
The pair have so far raised £5,520 for Cancer Research UK.
Mr Matthew's mother-in-law added £1,000 to the total after putting a bet on France to win the World Cup and donating her winnings.
