OXFORD'S Broad Street has been closed this evening due to a sink hole.
The closure will affect a number of bus routes as the road was being used as the main diversion route around St Giles Fair.
UPDATE - More on the closure as the diversion route for St Giles is closed
Oxford City Council said its highways team were working to urgently repair the road.
Please be aware: We have closed Broad Street due to a sinkhole opening.

This was the main bus diversion route around St Giles' Fair, so both @OxfordBusCo and @Stagecoach_Ox services are impacted.

Oxford Bus Company tweeted earlier this evening that its 300 service would be split into two, until the sinkhole was repaired.
300 service - Due to a sink hole appearing in Broad Street, our 300 service is unable to operate the through route. The service is split with immediate effect and will operate Pear Tree to Broad Street and Redbridge to Westgate. George St stops cannot be served.

Broad St closed at the junction of Magdalen St. Witney S1 / S2 on diversion, stops A1 to A5 not in use. S1 / S2 / S3 Passengers please go to Gloucester Green Bus Station. Service 7 passengers please use number 2 service from temporary stop in Broad St.
