THAT'S right - it's National Dog Day today!
Celebrated each year on August 26, National Dog Day is a day for people to 'recognise the importance of dogs and how they impact our lives on a daily basis'.
It is also a chance to celebrate how hard service dogs like blind assistance dogs work on our behalf and draw attention to the plight of abused and abandoned pups.
With that in mind, we are asking Oxford Mail readers to send in a photo of a handsome hound or a perfect puppy in their life!
And, to inspire you, we have included the gallery above of a host of handsome hounds who all joined a charity dog walk right here in Oxford yesterday!
Headington Dog Training company organised the canine cavalcade from the Victoria Arms in Old Marston to raise money for dogs in need.
Our photographer Ric Mellis was there to capture these brilliant photos, but if you can do better then send us your snaps!
National Dog Day
Send us pictures of a brilliant bulldog, an amazing Alsatian or a cheeky Chihuahua in your life!
