A 'COMMUNITY showcase' night in Rose Hill will feature performing arts, zumba and environmental top tips.

Rose Hill Community Centre has announced the evening of local love for Thursday, September 6, from 6pm to 8pm.

As well as a 'free community buffet' the organisers have already booked Oxford's Open Stage Arts group for live entertainment.

Zumba instructor Jayne Whittern is also down to perform and there are stalls planned from Rose Hill Youth Football Club and the Rose Hill Regeneration Project.

Highlighting the local wildlife and environmental efforts in that part of the city will be representatives from Rose Hill and Iffley Low Carbon and the Berks, Bucks and Oxon Wildlife Trust, which has its headquarters just down the road in Littlemore.

Announcing the line-up on a Facebook event, the organisers wrote: "Rose Hill Community Showcase brings together local organisations and local people to show all the activities and groups. Local organisations will hold stalls, local groups will put on performances and there will be a free community buffet.

"All are welcome to come and find out more about what is going on and how to get involved."
