FIVE generations of football-mad females were able to watch their beloved Oxford United together for the first time during Oxford United's last away trip.
Margaret Davis, 80, from Bicester, was joined by her daughter, Jackie Davis-Smith, 56, granddaughter, Kim Davis, 40, great granddaughter Tia Davis-Way, aged 18, and her two-month-old great, great granddaughter Lyla Blaker, to watch United take on Portsmouth at Fratton Park.
Despite all being dedicated U’s fans, much of the family has moved to the south coast, with just Margaret still living in Oxfordshire, and so they took the opportunity to gather in the away end to watch a match together – a game United unfortunately lost 4-1.
Rita Leigh, sister of Jackie, said: “It was so nice to have us all together – despite the result.”
