A COUPLE have been left devastated after losing a bunch of sentimental jewellery including a wedding ring.

Luke and Charlotte Brownhill were visiting Oxford for the day to take in some of the popular tourist sites.

The pair had travelled from Birmingham, on Wednesday August 15, but once they had returned home discovered Mrs Brownhill's necklace had fallen off - including both her engagement ring and diamond wedding ring.

Mr Brownhill said: " It was when we got back home about 6pm we realised they were gone.

"So we looked back through the photos we had taken and found she had them at our visit to the Bodleian Library but not once we walked down to Christ Church.

"We must've lost them somewhere between them."

The pair said they have called the police and Christ Church in case they had been handed in but had no luck.

The necklace is a silver heart-shaped locket with LCF engraved on one side and 'Happy 30th Mummy' on the back.

Both missing rings were white gold, one a diamond wedding ring with a large stone and two smaller stones either side. The band which was with it is unique in its shape so that it fits perfectly against the wedding ring.

Mr Brownhill added: "Obviously Charlotte is beside herself that she has lost them, they were something she wanted to pass on to her grandchildren.
