A comedian impersonating one of the characters from the TV show Little Britain had a campaigning message when he opened a town fete.
Impressionist Stuart Morrison, performing under the name of Littler Britain, launched the annual Poppy Appeal in Carterton on Monday, at a fete organised by the Royal British Legion. The town is home to many of the service families posted to RAF Brize Norton. Stuart, pictured receiving a peck on the hand from Mick Townsend, said the appeal reminded everyone of the "human cost of war", past and present.
Last year the appeal raised more than £15,000 in Carterton. Monday's event at the Alvescot Road recreation ground, included charity stalls, fair rides, face painting and a climbing wall.
