The hunt is on for Oxfordshire's bonniest babies for the Oxford Mail Baby of the Year 2007 competition.

Last year more than 500 beautiful babies and toddlers entered the competition - and readers will be able to decide for themselves who they think should be crowned top of the tots.

The Oxford Mail has teamed up with Templars Square, Cowley, Oxford, and BCR Photographic to offer every single youngster the chance to have their picture taken by a professional photographer.

The winners in each category will each receive a picture of their child, plus a trophy. The overall winner gets a stunning life-size canvas of their child, champion's trophy plus a magical pre-Christmas family break to Disneyland in Paris.

Our photographers will be based in Templars Square every day from 10am to 4.30pm from Monday, September 3, to Saturday, September 15, except for Sunday.

All parents or guardians have to do to enter their little darlings into the competition is take the coupon on this page to Templars Square and pose for a picture.

After the photoshoot, they will be given a call back time - either on September 21 or 22 - to choose which picture they want to be used in the paper.

All children up to 36 months living in the Oxford area can be entered into the competition with categories for 0-9 months, 10-18 months and 19-36 months.

The photographs of every single youngster will be printed in a special edition inside the Oxford Mail, and readers will then be asked to vote for the bonniest babies. And even if your child is not chosen, you will be able to buy one of the professional portraits taken by BCR.

Thousands of votes poured in for last year's competition, with overall winner Callum Clare receiving well over 400 alone.

An Oxford Mail entry coupon, which will be printed each publication day from now until September 8, must be brought along to take part. No photocopies will be accepted.
