TWO police horses have been praised for their part in stopping thieves making off with thousands of pounds worth from Bicester Village.

Atlas and Aurora, of the Thames Valley Police mounted section, were drafted in whilst on a routine anti-social behaviour patrol in Bicester yesterday.

The pair were needed to help intercept and catch two suspects believed to have stolen £3,000 worth of luxury goods for the designer outlet in Pingle Drive.

Two people have since been arrested for the 'high value theft'.

The police team were assisted by security staff at Bicester Village and a team picture with both Atlas and Aurora was posted on Twitter.
