FAMOUS Oxford landmarks will throw open their doors for a free annual heritage weekend – including Oxford Castle and Prison for the first time.
Oxford Open Doors, which is organised by charity Oxford Preservation Trust, will take place on September 8 and 9.
Among the buildings open this year is Christ Church with its links to Lewis Carroll and Harry Potter, along with New College.
The theme for 2018 is ‘extraordinary people’, with events highlighting individuals who have shaped the city.
Trust director Debbie Dance said: “This is our chance to celebrate this wonderful place that we all call home.”
All information about events is available via oxfordpreservation.org.uk from Monday, with bookings opening at noon on August 21.
