A 38-year-old man was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital last night after being 'repeatedly stabbed' in the back on an Oxford estate.
Police and ambulance crews were called to Knights Road, Blackbird Leys, at about 7pm.
Ambulance staff said he was taken to hospital with severe back injuries sustained by an unknown weapon.
This morning it was unknown whether his condition was life-threatening.
