POLICE have released an E-Fit image after a sex attacker knocked a woman to the ground and tried to climb on top of her. 

The victim, a woman in her 30s, was jogging along the old railway line between Upton and East Hagbourne at 8.30pm on June 17 when a cyclist approached her.

As he drew level with her he knocked her to the ground. As she lay on the floor he tried to climb on top of her. 

She managed to kick out and, after a short struggle, fled from the man. 

The victim was not seriously injured but did suffer grazes.

The offender is described as a white male, aged between 30 and 40 years old of a tall, slim build. He has light brown hair, which is wavy. He was wearing a light grey hooded top.

Investigating officer PC Marta Kowalska of the Abingdon IHub, said: "We would like to hear from anyone who may recognised the man in this E-Fit.

"We would also like anyone who has further information about this incident to contact police.
