A HEAD on crash which left several people in need of hospital treatment has prompted a police investigation.

A silver Vauxhall Vectra and a blue Ford Focus crashed into each other on Burford Road, near Minster Lovell, at around 4pm last Wednesday.

The driver of the Vauxhall, a 48-year-old man, and the driver of the Ford, a 61-year-old woman, were injured and taken to hospital for treatment.

A passenger in the Ford, a 58-year-old woman, also sustained serious injuries and received hospital treatment.

No arrests have been made.

Investigating officer, PC Craig Ridgley, of the Joint Operations Unit for Roads Policing, based at Bicester Howes Lane, said: “This incident has resulted in two people sustaining injuries for which they have required hospital treatment.

“I would like to speak to anyone who witnessed this incident. I believe that an articulated lorry was travelling on this section of the road at the time of the incident, so I would be especially keen to speak to the driver of that vehicle, as they could have vital information which could help our investigation.

“Anyone with any details which they think could be relevant should call the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference 43180235641.”
