FILM-LOVERS from across Oxfordshire will have the opportunity to enjoy an outdoor cinema experience at Blenheim Palace.

Luna Open Air Cinema will return to the Woodstock stately home from August 10 to August 12, boasting an array of films to delight the whole family.

On August 10, audiences can see the classic blockbuster that launched one of Hollywood’s most popular franchises, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone.

The following day, visitors can see Hugh Jackman star in The Greatest Showman, a musical romp inspired by the story of PT Barnum and the Barnum and Bailey Circus.

Those attending the open air event on August 12 can enjoy a more sombre affair with Darkest Hour.

In the final film, Gary Oldman plays former Prime Minister Winston Churchill, who was born at Blenheim Palace.

The actor, who portrays Churchill in the early days of his premiership, received an Academy Award for his work.

Families are encouraged to bring deck chairs and picnic blankets and a bar will be available.
