FAMILY members are understood to have come forward to arrange the funeral of the 'Botley Bag Lady'.
Oxford City Council no longer expects to be involved in organising the funeral of 73-year-old Eleanor Bolton who was found dead in a metal hut off the Botley Road last month.
Spokesman Dave Lansley said the council had been informed by the county council that private arrangements will be made for the funeral.
Dozens of friends and residents have previously offered to help pay for an organise a funeral for the well-known character.
It has been suggested that she may be laid to rest with her parents in Bloxham graveyard.
Yesterday morning, a mass was held at Our Lady of the Rosary Church in Botley dedicated to Ms Bolton.
