A 75-year-old woman was still in a serious condition late last night following a dramatic accident in the city centre.
She suffered potentially life threatening chest injuries in the crash in St Cross Road, at about 11.15am on Tuesday.
Emergency services found her hanging upside down in a Peugeot people carrier following a collision with an Oxford City Council mechanical street cleaner.
She was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Headington. Another five people, including a cyclist, also required hospital treatment following the crash.
