Bags of donated fabric with special meaning attached will be fashioned into 10,000 flags to form the mile of bunting at Bridge House on Friday.
The care home are appealing for people to come forward with contributions to ensure it meets the ambitious goal.
Witney’s Sew Local shop has donated 19 sewing machines for the event and attending to help reach the target.

The bunting will be displayed at the home until August when it will move to the Abingdon Community Shop.
