POLICE are continuing to search for a man who fell into the River Thames last night.
The National Police Air Service tweeted that they were assisting Thames Valley Police with a search in Long Wittenham, near Abingdon, using the helicopter's beam to illuminate the scene after the man was reported in the water.

A Thames Valley Police spokesperson added: "Police were called just after 9pm last night to the River Thames south of Abingdon, after reports that a man had gone into the water and had then got into difficulties.
"We are at the scene at this time to try and locate the man."
Last Sunday a man's body was pulled out of the Thames at Iffley, Oxford.
