A MAN has been charged with racially aggravated harassment and criminal damage following an incident at a Jewish centre in Oxford.

Lewis Cairns, 31, of Luther Street was arrested and charged yesterday with one count of racially aggravated harassment, alarm and distress and one count of criminal damage.

The incident happened at the Chabad Student Centre in Cowley Road, on the corner of Alma Place at about 4am on May 19.

He is due to appear at Oxford Magistrates’ Court on July 24.
