A SEVENTEEN-year-old girl has described being left 'shaken up' and 'frigthened' after being followed through Oxford city centre. 

The girl was at the Clarendon Shopping Centre when she noticed a man watching and following her. 

Police say the girl has been followed on a number of occasions in October last year and June this year. 

The force has released CCTV images of a man they want to speak to in relation to the investigation. 

Investigating officer PC Laura Goodban, based at St Aldates police station said: "The victim was left feeling shaken up and frightened by these incidents.

"On numerous occasions the victims has described a man watching and then following her through the city.

"We would like to speak to the man pictured in this CCTV image as he may have information about these incidents "We would also like to appeal to anyone who may have witnessed someone behaving in this way.

"We take the offence of stalking very seriously and strongly encourage victims to report any instances.
