THIS dreamy image of a poppy field has been winning praise on the Oxford Mail Camera Club Facebook page this week.
It is easy to see why, with the hazy light shining through a sea of petals making for an atmospheric snap.
Taken by Sarah Mason at Fifield, near Burford, it is one of many stunning shots of Oxfordshire poppy fields that have been shared by members in recent weeks.
Flowering between June and August, the distinctive red flower is a sure sign of summer and the recent sunshine has been showing them off at their best.
To see more cracking shots, including from a recent outing by members to Farmoor Reservoir, search for the Oxford Mail Camera Club Facebook group - which now has more than 700 members.
There is also still time to enter this week's competition, with the chance to win £25, by entering an 'odd one out' themed photograph.
A double-page spread of our favourite submissions will appear in Friday’s paper, followed by the winner in Saturday’s edition.
Happy snapping!
