OXFORD has been basking in the hot summer sun today, banishing the Monday blues for many.
Today's blue skies and sunshine saw temperatures reach 23 degrees with those not at work taking full advantage of the warm weather.
The city's rivers and parks were brimming with sun worshippers this afternoon, making the most of the British summer.
Many took the opportunity to take a lazy trip down the River Cherwell, while others lounged in parks and river banks.
However, the fine weather is not expected to last as the Met Office predicts a cloudy day for Tuesday with temperatures not expected to exceed 15 degrees.
Temperatures are expected to rise again later in the week with sunny spells forecast.
