A GANG of teenagers attacked a man after he refused to give them a cigarette.
The victim was walking along High Street in Banbury when the group of six to eight boys approached him.
They asked the 32-year-old man for a cigarette outside Walford and Round Opticians, near to Master Kebab, but when told no assaulted him.
Investigating officer Melanie Cannon said: "This was an unprovoked assault on a man who has been left shaken and sustained swelling to his face and a grazed hip."
The boys are described as wearing dark coloured tracksuit bottoms, hoodies and trainers, aged between 14 and 17.
