A HUNT has been launched to track down a newly-engaged couple after their Oxford balloon proposal caught the attention of a local wedding company.
The sign, which spelled out Will You Marry Me in balloons, was put up at Iffley Lock on Sunday.
Wantage-based Engaging Event, which run photo booths and sweet stalls at weddings, said they wanted to reward the pair after spotting the declaration tied to a bridge over the Thames.
Sharing a picture of the public proposal on social media, the company explained: "We love a love story, and we’d like to offer the happy couple a free sweet cart."
They encouraged people to share the Facebook post far and wide, adding: "Tag potential brides/grooms to be… do anything you can to find the couple."
All new and existing likes on their page will also be entered into a draw for 50 per cent off a sweet cart booking.
Since being put up on Wednesday the post has been shared more than 60 times.
