SKATERS from across the south of England rolled their way to glory as Oxfordshire hosted a Roller Derby championships.
Teams from Eastbourne, Milton Keynes and Bridgend played with Oxford Wheels of Gory in the charity tournament in The Park Sport Centre in Holton on Sunday.
More than 100 people watched the 50 skaters compete in the high-octane sport that sees skaters attempt to score points by passing opposition players.
The fundraising total is still be counted with all proceeds from ticket sales donated to the team’s charity of the year, Tommy’s, which funds research into stillbirth, premature birth and miscarriage.
Katherine Corr, of Oxford Wheels of Gory, said: "We couldn't have asked for a better day - not only did we get two amazing and hard fought games of Roller Derby but we raised lots of money for our charity, "
