THERE is an Easter wonderland waiting for visitors to Blenheim Palace this bank holiday.

Everything from a giant egg hunt and vintage fun fair to a puppet show and circus workshop will be taking place within the grounds over the four-day period.

There will also be roaming entertainment from some colourful characters, including fairy stilt walkers, a bubble artist and the Easter bunny, as well as bungee trampolining, archery sessions and a bouncy castle.

Face painting and balloon twisting is also happening.

After working up an appetite visitors can also enjoy ice cream and fresh pizza from the Pleasure Gardens Pizza Café.

Activities at the West Oxfordshire tourist attraction kicked off yesterday and will continue until Monday.

A particular highlight is the trail of 8ft inflatable eggs littered throughout the parkland and formal gardens.

This will be taking place rain or shine, so if the weather does not behave remember to bring wellies.

Despite their eggs-treme size the over-sized eggs are difficult to spot due to the palace's 2,000 acre grounds.

Those who find the special ‘Blenheim Egg’ can enter into a competition to win an Easter surprise.

There are also fairy doors hidden within the trees in the pleasure gardens for visitors to look out for.

A map will be provided for visitors to fill in their guesses of the total number of each.
